Pawprint Shawn Elec (born May 9, 1984) is the backup vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, as well as occasional songwriter and main vocalist, in the Kitty Concert. Pawprint Elec's main instruments on the band's records include the saxophone, harmonica, and xylophone or glockenspiel, but Elec has also played such instruments as the ukulele, the fiddle, and the accordion. Elec founded the band in 2000 with Kitty Concert, Zak Zimmer, Dee Macko, and Looney Lion, later adding Ai-Ai Paulden, Bush Longtail, and Little-Kitty Furball to create a supergroup of sorts, and wrote the first song for the band, "You Can't Leave Me Now" later that year. On August 17, 2006, he released his first solo album, Watching Paint Dryand he has released four more since; he has also been involved in the production of the Kitty Concert's experimental band, The Straw House Bunch, and the creation of his other band-mates' solo albums, as well as Katerina Concert's albums.
